TOP 3 Coffeespots Hasselt

"Coffee you can sleap when you are dead." I agree! Coffee is one thing I need a daily dose of! But nowadays you can get more then just a regular classic lungo. Coffeebars are rising like a rocket as if they can just pop up anywhere. My friend and I decided to go on a coffee expedition at Hasselt City to try some different flavours in coffee. We picked out the spots which we have heard about the most. The spots that turned into a hype. We made a top 3: Sweet Coffee, King Kong and Shanti Beans.

Sweet Coffee
Botermarkt 15, Hasselt

An elegant, relaxed coffeebar set up by two sisters. A coffeelounge to chill. Besides a broad choice of coffees they also have delicious sweets like muffins, petit beurre and other yummy cakes. Sweet Coffee also serves delightful club sandwiches for those who want to grab a quick lunch.

One of my favourites: cookie madness and snow white! Must taste: cookie madness, a tall latte with cookie flavour and maltesers with a soft carameltopping!

Everything on the menu is also for take away. You can make your own little bag with muffins and sweets to go with your coffee. There are also delicious ice coffees, smoothies and ice teas for a fresh drink in the summer. You should try the latte oreo with oreocake ;)

King Kong

An original coffeebar, meet King Kong! I love the big board with King Kong on it. It immediately got my attention. My friend and I went inside but there was not much space. A little coffeebar with one owner serving the coffeeshots.  Luckily they had a second floor where you can chill.
Maastrichterstraat 58, Hasselt

And this is how we chill ;)

King Kong is all about originality. The little musical monkey hanging above the hallway bangs his cymbals when our coffees are ready. I loved that idea although it scared the shit out of me :D.

I drank the ape crazy with a shot espresso. I must say those espresso's are extremely strong. We were literally babbeling and thinking 1000 things at a time as if we haven't slept for days :D. There was something crazy about the coffees which I loved. King Kong is definitely my second best coffeebar in Hasselt!

Shanti Beans

This was such a nice, cosy coffeebar. I was living in the 70s! It felt like I was sitting in a vintage living room from the 70s :). The bar is runned by a hip relaxed guy. What makes Shanti beans' coffee so special? Their coffeebeans come from Brazil and other. They are blending cultures with espresso. Experience it yourself ;).

Dorpsstraat 43, Hasselt

A little surprise when I was drinking my cute cup of coffee!

"You should not wait for love, you should go on towards it." Hmm so this was my motto for the day? Haha.

Leather Love

I must confess I got a thing for leather. Leather leggings, leather tops, leather jackets,... And lately I am in love with this leather blazer (H&M € 39,95). The blazer has shoulder pads inside which gives it more character and attitude. Combine the blazer with a leather top or pop the outfit with a bright colour (ready for spring). A little leather gives a little edge, mix it with feminine pieces and you will look classy. Try to mix and spice up your outfit!

In for Balaton Sound 2013

Yesss! My first festival for 2013 is booked! Who needs Tomorrowland when there is Balaton? And enough tickets! Tomorrowland gets overcrowded. The fun is gone when the amount of tickets are gone as well in ten minutes. My friends and I decided to book a short trip to Budapest to experience the Balaton Sound. It's a popular festival in Hungary. Must check it out!

Balaton here we come

The Balaton Sound Festival takes place from 11th till 14th of July 2013. It's one of Europe's largest open air festivals and co-created by the organizers of Sziget festival. Since 2007 the festival is held annually on Lake Balaton in Hungary. The festival territory is actually on the seaside resort Zamardi, 5 kilometres from Siofok. We decided to go by plane to Budapest. You can reach Siofok by train or by bus. There are also partybusses or partytrains from Belgium to Hungary. Balaton Sound provides you 24 hours music a day while you are relaxing with a drink in your hand at the famous Lake Balaton.

Chill & party zone

Sounds nice? By day it is one big chill out zone! Chilling on an airbed or swimming in the lake... The festival has created luxurious chill out facilities with hammocks, bean bags, easy chairs, etc. The first performances start in the afternoon. There are variable stages, lounges and tents for the performances. The breezy summer temperature, the sun on my skin, the bars, the drinks, the stages and the music.

Sleep, necessary?

Partyharders out there might not need any sleep. But I do if I want to party five days long. Next to the festival territory there is a wide camping. It only costs 7 Euros. There are enough trees to cover your tents from the heat. If you are getting too hot, you can take a swim in the lake! We decided to rent a little apartment in Siofok. If you rent a hotel, hostel or apartment it would be best to rent a bike.

The line up is already looking good! Friends, music, drinks, sun, a lake seems like a good festival to me! I'm looking forward to it!

I will definitely keep you posted about the festival!

Smoking

Okay so this is the latest beautylook I love: red lips and cats' eyes ;). Can't do nothing wrong with this look and there's nothing more classic then red lips! Even girls can suit it up with a smoking and a black elegant hat. I wear leather boots to make the outfit a bit edgy. Smoking red lips, hot or not?

I wear Bourjois Sweet Kiss 54.
For cat eyes, I use Essence long lasting eye pencil 01 black fever.

Both last long! Whether you are partyin' or going out for lunch ;).
